Sculpture: Bas Relief and High Relief

This panel uses a mixture of high relief and shallow relief ("bas relief") to help create an illusion of perspective and recession into the distance. As objects get further away, in addition to appearing smaller, they are rendered with lower relief, helping to further emphasize the illusion of distance.
